We are excited to launch Earthdance 2011 at our new venue - The Solano County Fairgrounds, located in Vallejo California. The venue is within easy reach to the whole Bay Area and cities beyond and offers room to grow, while still maintaining the intimate feeling and charm that is special to Earthdance.

The venue will feature fantastic indoor and outdoor venues, plenty of toilets, showers, easy parking and plenty of camping. All throughout the fairgrounds there are shady lawn areas, wide avenues, and intimate nooks and cranny's which we will fill with amazing art and devotional altars. Unlike many other fairgrounds where camping is difficult or limited, our new venue will also provide large areas of open campground within the Joe Mortara Golf Course which is located on site. This will allow festival patrons plenty of room to set up camp so they can enjoy a full weekend camping festival experience. We also offer over 100 RV sites, plus a comfortable motel within walking distance.

The Solano County Fairgrounds is comprised of a number of different facilities that will be in use for the festival.

The Main Stage arena has an open grass field with the stage on one side and covered bleachers on the other. It will allow people to sit, stand, or dance on the grass directly in front of the stage while also providing a seated area at the rear. There will be a beer & wine garden in the music arena so you may watch the show while enjoying adult beverages.

The Unity Stage Is an indoor venue that will offer the finest in live music late into the night.  During the day we will also feature workshops and yoga. Once again there will be a beer & wine garden located within sight of the stage.

The Temple of Electronica is an indoor venue featuring an international line up of DJ’s, spinning tunes from early evening into the late night hours, with dance workshops scheduled during the day.

The Lotus Sanctuary is the place to unwind and experience sacred music and the healing arts.  Therapeutic massage, Thai massage, Shiatsu, Reiki, balancing & more will be offered at the Healing Village with all day workshops and panels. At night the Sanctuary will host sacred world music concerts, including Kirtan and devotional singing, Sufi chanting and more.

The Food Court is a wide shady area located right in the middle of the festival grounds. It will feature many of the food purveyors who you’ve come to know & love at Earthdance in previous years. A great balance of organic, healthy and delicious food will be available, brought to you by individuals dedicated to providing only the best food sourced locally. Keep an eye out for our food court stage bringing you entertainment during the day & night.

The Magik Kidz Village will offer a variety of fun activities throughout the daytime hours of the festival. An inflatable bouncy room, a quiet tipi for resting, stage shows with puppets & music, sing-a-longs, art projects, and much more. And don’t forget the kids parade on Sunday afternoon!

The Campground is in the center of the Joe Mortara Golf Course, located on the fairgrounds property and offers beautiful open grassy meadows to set up tents. Cars will be allowed to park along the racetrack surrounding the golf course and campers will be able to set up camp within the golf course fairways, within a short distance from their parking spot. RV’s will also be able to park along the track with easy access to the festival grounds. There will be no hookups available for RV’s, but there will be a pumping service for holding tanks available for a fee. If you anticipate this need, please speak with our camping crew on site and they will set you up with the pumper service. Hot showers will be available for all campers.

We are excited to offer the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, located on the west side of the fairgrounds parking lot, as our “festival hotel” with discount hotel packages available to all festival patrons. The hotel offers comfortable rooms, pool and spa facility, restaurant and bar, and a free shuttle bus to Vallejo ferry terminal. The hotel is an easy 5 minute walk to the festival gates and is the perfect spot for those who prefer a more comfortable festival experience. For more info, please watch the website for updates.
