A welcome new presence on the scene of global music, Prema Mayi Dasi fuses the traditional sounds of the kirtan or chant music with modern global ambience and mood. Her Sacred Transitions album is aptly named for it is not about tradition, but the transition from old to young and forward back again, from the ancient sacred to the borders of raw youthful chaos.
