Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk features a bandleader and a lead guitarist from one of the most recognized musical families in world. Each of these five gifted New Orleans natives has impressive credentials in his own right, with collective performing/recording credits that include Keith Richards, Bonnie Raitt, Soulive, North Mississippi Allstars, Galactic, Dave Matthews, Trey Anastasio and many more. Dumpstaphunk won a Big Easy Award for Best Funk Group, has earned critical praise from the press. The New York Times called them "the best funk band from New Orleans" and An Honest Tune "perhaps the purest brand of funk around". They continue to wow audiences across the U.S. with their spicy musical gumbo of Meter-esque jams with drops of Sly and the Family Stone and other diverse influences.
